Light in motion
Every now and again I get this idea of using camera motion and different lighting and color to create abstract images. Maybe a bit too much motion? What do you think?

Mountains revealed

Here's the "before" shot for "Mist Covered Mountains?". The crop is taken from the left side, middle third of the frame. I wrote in my last post that I was climbing on the rocks for these shots, but now that I see them again, the "rock climbing" shots were later in the trip. This series was shot from the deck of the house we stayed at in Seal Rock, Oregon (http://www.sealrockvacationhomes.com/tcindex.html).

Mist Covered Mountains?

Two blog posts in one night, equalling my production for all of 2012 (moving to a new house is my excuse)! I'm not normally one to heavily crop a photo - maybe shave a little off the edges. This photo, as you'll see from some posts to come, is cropped signficantly. I concede this is a little more grainy than I would like, but this grouping of rocks caught my eye. I also did some other camera trickery here to achieve the "mist". I took this while we were on vacation in Oregon, in near darkness, hopping around rock ledges - yes, it was fun!
